Thank You Nagle's Market

So, last night the kids and I were able to have some free ice cream cones, thanks to a local ice cream shop. It's was from our library's summer reading program, but we just went and got it yesterday. Sometimes it pays (or frees) to save treats (such as gift cards for free ice cream). Bringing them up on a rainy day or on a night with nothing to do. I mean why not save them for a bit and let that excitement carry over, especially since you're already excited about getting it when you got it the first time, now you can live that excitement all over again.

Is It Worth It: Walgreens Register Rewards

Yes, again I say yes, but there are a few rules to follow:
1. Only buy the products you need or can use. Buying other things can possibly waste your money and waste your time, which is valuable.
2. Walgreens only allows 1 manufacturer coupon per item and if you are using a Register Reward, that counts as one.
3. Combine Register Reward items with coupons when possible. Coupon Crazy Chris is a website that will help you do exactly that.
4. Make sure to use your Register Reward before it expires. Mark the expiration date on a calendar that you will look at.
5. Don't spend your register rewards on useless things. If you have too many register rewards, you can "trick" Walgreens buy purchasing a gift card with those Register Rewards when you use them in combination with another product.

Since we're on the Topic of Qdoba

If you're looking for a cheap meal or on a cheap date, Qdoba (similar restaurants include Panara Bread and Noodles and Company) is a pretty good option. They're quick, they taste good and you don't have to pay a tip, which is awesome and saves you a few dollars. Like other places, Qdoba has a point card  and you get a free meal if you eat there often enough. So, enjoy the fast and relatively inexpensive goodness of Qdoba.

The only .net Site I Go To

I'm talking about Slickdeals.net. It's amazing to me how many people know about and utilize this site. Basically, this site is a current listing of active deals on the Internet. It updates multiple times a day and there always seems to be one that catches my eye. But, if you're always looking for deals and thinking about others for things such as birthdays, this site can be a great resource. Just be careful, because part of being frugal means spending wisely, not spending a ton, saving money on great deals.

Borders Bookstore and all its Perks

So Borders, the bookstore, has a few programs available and I just learned about a pretty awesome one today. Basically, they have a rewards card like everyone else and you earn points for spending money at Borders. You have to spend quite a bit though, so it depends if that program is worth it to you. Now, here's the cool program I learned about today. Borders Rewards Perks, this has a few options. One, you get a discount to certain places listed on their site and those offers continually change. They also have limited time offers (self explanatory), VIP in store events, which have different special events going on in their stores, and the last and coolest perk being their Overwhelming Offers. Basically, it's Black Friday (ridiculously good) deals every week day. The catch is that it starts at a certain time and it only lasts until the item is gone, so you have to be prepared and have a quick connection. You can get an e-mail sent daily that tells you what the upcoming deal will be. So, Borders, not only sells great books, they now are putting together great deals for us to enjoy. Get those trigger fingers ready and start clicking.
